Our principal, Louis Pavone, is dedicated to providing the best education available to the students of P.S./I.S. 78Q.
Welcome back to all of our families! We are looking forward to having all of your children back for in person learning and being in school 5 days a week this 2021-22 school year.

Together we will ensure that your children are safe and their academic experience is rigorous, challenging and one that will make them leaders in our community.

Please know that our school community of teachers, support staff and administrators are here to help. If you or your child need support, our administration, our teachers, our school psychologist, guidance counselors, and social workers are available. Please reach out to us to let us know. As educators, we strive to frame conversations surrounding equity as being part of your child’s overall school experience. There is no place for hatred in our school community. Our commitment is and has always been to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Thank you for your continued support and work you do with your children. I am grateful to all of you for your dedication in providing a high quality education for your children and anticipate a very successful school year.

“Greatness is not in where we stand, but in what direction we are moving.
We must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it – but sail we must and not drift, nor lie at anchor.”

– Oliver Wendell Holmes
